Cole, Couey exchange vows
Stephanie Roberta "Robyn" Cole of Somerville and Bradley Michael Couey of Somerville were married April 26, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church.
Rev. Harlon Hood officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Norman and Roberta Harris of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Randall Parks Cole of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. The groom is the son of Michael and Toni Couey of Somerville.
The bride was given in marriage by her stepfather.
The church altar was centered with a 10-branch candelabrum trimmed with purple roses and white tulle. Five-branch candelabras sat on either side of the altar along with ferns and staggered white Grecian columns and ivy cascades topped with purple roses.
The bride wore a formal designed gown of Milano satin. The V-neckline featured delicate corded lace complimented with sequins and rocaille beads on a fitted bodice and beaded double straps.
The basque waistline and softly gathered skirt designed with an apron back and covered buttons fell into a court train.
Her knee-length veil was held in place by a headpiece of white pearls accented by rhinestones.
Her bouquet featured white silk roses complimented by small purple roses, strings of pearls, and rhinestones.
Alison Yancey of Eva was maid of honor.
Stefanie Ellis of Somerville and Casey Payne, sister of the groom, of Decatur were bridesmaids.
The bride's attendants wore floor-length gowns of lilac satin featuring scoop necklines and spaghetti straps that crisscrossed and tied in the back. They carried bouquets of purple silk roses formed in the shape of a ball and cascading from purple ribbons tied in a bow.
Sarah Clark of Somerville was the flower girl. Andrew Couey of Hartselle was the ring bearer.
Spence Helms of Eva was the best man.
Erick Payne of Decatur and JonKristjen Eubanks of Joppa were groomsmen and candlelighters.
Music was provided by Boyce McCutcheon, Dwight Lang, Melissa Eddy, and pianist Lisa Thompson.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall.
The bride's table featured a four-tier wedding cake with two side cakes decorated with purple and white roses. It was accented with a white lace veil cascading down the back and fell onto the white lace cloth accented with purple rose petals.
The groom's table featured a three-layer chocolate cake trimmed in a basket weave design and highlighted grapes formed of malted milk balls with gold leaf inserts. The cake sat atop a gold wooden hexagon shaped stand with a fountain underneath. Both cakes were made by the mother of the groom.
Libby Kimbrell was the reception director. Joy Hale and Teresa Herring were wedding directors. Jennifer Lambert was the bride's assistant. Christy Clark, Michelle Couey, Kayla Cox, Staci Jackson, and Lindsey Mooneyham were servers.
Elizabeth Sharp and Christy Elwell attended the bride's book.
Daniel Sharp and Lane Martin distributed programs.
Debbie Cox was the photographer's assistant.
The couple resides in Brooksville.

Brandi Michelle Ahrendt of Hartselle and Wesley Allen Shaneyfelt of Hartselle were married May 30, 2003 at 11 a.m. in a private ceremony.
Rev. Bill Partridge officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dale Ahrendt of Decatur and David and Sherry Lyle of Athens.
The groom is the son of David and Jackie Shaneyfelt of Somerville.
The couple will reside in Vestavia Hills.
