Priceville’s Haynes resigns, J.R. Dilbeck tabbed to replace him

Priceville Boys Basketball coach Darrell Haynes has resigned after 21 years.

The Morgan County School Board named J.R. Dilbeck as the new head basketball coach in their board meeting last week. Dilbeck has been a part of Haynes’ staff since 2007.

Haynes was instrumental in starting the basketball program at Priceville. He started out coaching the junior high program in 2000. He then became the varsity coach when Priceville became a High School in 2002. 

Haynes led the Bulldogs to on Final Four appearance in 2006. His 2012, 2016, and 2017 teams won area championships and advanced to the regional tournament. The Bulldogs won the Morgan County Tournament in 2012 and 2016.
