Priceville baseball wins four in Kentucky

The Priceville Bulldogs traveled north for spring break and came away with four wins over teams from Kentucky.

Priceville 9, Grayson Co. (Ky.) 7
The Bulldogs battled back from a 6-2 deficit and then held off Grayson Co. (KY) for a 9-7 win in the first game of their spring break trip to Kentucky. Tyde Borden led Priceville with three hits, four RBIs and two runs scored. Wes Walker added two hits, including a home run, and two RBIs.Thomas Ferguson added a hit, two RBIs and three stolen bases. Casen Dutton picked up the win with three scoreless innings of relief, allowing three hits while striking out four. Ethan Sherwood earned the save with two innings of relief.

Priceville 12, Western Hills (Ky.) 0
The Bulldogs defeated Western Hills (KY) 12-0. Sherwood led Priceville with a hit and three RBIs. Ferguson and Trent Sivley each had a hit and two RBIs. Ferguson also had two stolen bases. Jake England and Walker each added two hits and an RBI. Borden earned the complete-game win with four shutout innings. He struck out seven while allowing two hits.

Priceville 10, North Oldham (Ky.) 0
Walker led Priceville in their 10-0 win over North Oldham (KY). Walker hit two home runs and had four RBIs in the victory. Deacon Hall added two hits and an RBI, while Sherwood had a hit and an RBI. Kane Dunn added two RBIs. Colman Gann earned the win with a perfect game, allowing no hits or walks while striking out eight in five innings.

Priceville 10, Meade Co. (Ky.) 6
Priceville closed its northern road swing with a 10-6 win over Meade Co. (KY). England led the Bulldogs with three hits, two RBIs and two runs scored. Jaidan Gordon had a hit and two RBIs, while Jake Hamilton, Sherwood, Borden and Ferguson each had an RBI. Sivley earned the win following three innings of relief, allowing one run on three hits. Ferguson got the start and allowed five runs on four hits while striking out seven.

Danville 14, Holly Pond 1
The Hawks plated six in the first inning and cruised to a 14-1 win over Holly Pond. Jackson Randolph led Danville with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. Sawyer Tapscott added two hits, including a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored, while Noah Dry, Kade Taylor and Kasen Jeffreys each added an RBI. Dry and Taylor each had two hits. AJ Holiday earned the win.

Lawrence Co. 10, Danville 9
Lawrence Co. scored four in the top of the seventh to overcome a 9-6 lead by Danville and defeat the Hawks 10-9. Eli Coker and Tapscott each had two hits and two RBIs to lead Danville. Holiday and Cody Barber also had RBIs for the Hawks. Avery Brewer took the loss after allowing four runs in one inning of work.

East Limestone 4, Brewer 2
The Patriots lost 4-2 in game one of their area series at East Limestone. Logan Powers and Brayden Murphy led Brewer with an RBI each. Powers and Chase Smith each had two hits. Powers took the loss after allowing four unearned runs on four hits in six innings.

East Limestone 12, Brewer 2
Brewer dropped game two 12-2 to East Limestone. Cole Drinkard had three hits to lead the Patriots. Murphy had a hit and two RBIs.

Susan Moore 9, Falkville 8
Susan Moore scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth and then held off a Falkville rally in the seventh to defeat the Blue Devils 9-8. Jackson Edmonson, Bryant Owens and Owen Teague each had two hits to lead Falkville. Edmonson and Teague each had and RBI. Kole Fitzgerald and Denver Comstock each added a hit and two RBIs.
