Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs struggle to find wins

The Priceville basketball teams fought hard but came up short in their games this past week. The Bulldogs dropped three at home in the Marx Optical Thanksgiving Tournament, while the Lady Bulldogs fell twice in the Encore Thanksgiving Classic at Hartselle.

Boys
Oakwood Academy 57, Priceville 52

The Bulldogs couldn’t return from a nine-point halftime deficit in their 57-52 loss to Oakwood Academy. Sammie Holmes had 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals to lead Priceville (0-5). Colman Gann added nine points, while Luke Hood had a double-double, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

West Limestone 43, Priceville 28

The Wildcats jumped out to a 22-9 halftime lead on their way to a 43-28 win over Priceville. Holmes had 12 points and four rebounds to lead the Bulldogs. Reece Dilbeck added seven points, while Gann had five points and five rebounds.

Girls
Cold Springs 62, Priceville 54

Cold Springs broke open a close game at halftime by outsourcing Priceville 18-9 in the third quarter on their way to a 62-54 win. Abby Langlois led the Lady Bulldogs with 26 points and nine rebounds. Gracin Prater added 10 points and five assists, while Ashlyn Johnson had seven points and six rebounds.

James Clemens 53, Priceville 41

James Clemens led 25-18 at halftime in their 53-41 win over the Lady Bulldogs. Langlois led Priceville (1-4) with 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks. Johnson added nine points, while Lillyan Bloodworth had seven rebounds and four assists.
