Prep football picks: Big rivalries continue

It is time to open region play for Morgan County teams. Hartselle welcomes their biggest rival, Cullman, to JP Cain to open 6A Region 8 region play. Other teams hit the road, with Brewer going to Ardmore, Priceville going to Madison County and Falkville going to Sheffield. Some teams need to bounce back from rival game losses before the season unravels.
The prep football picks are a new high school football season feature. The Enquirer’s sports writer Russell Frye, along with Hartselle graduate Dakota Stewart and Priceville Bulldogs sports guru John Keahy, will pick every county game each week.
