Eight area softball players named to All-State teams

Eight local players were named to the Alabama Sports Writers Association softball all-state teams. Harstelle, Brewer, Danville and Priceville had players chosen. 

 Hartselle was represented on the first team by junior Blayne Godfrey, who has committed to Auburn. Junior Kaelyn Jones, who had committed to UT-Martin, was named to the second team, while sophomore Brit Godfrey and freshman Katie Norgard were named to the Honorable Mention team. 

 Brewer senior Bronwyn Borden was named to the 5A second team. 

 Priceville senior Bentley Black was named to the 4A first team, while junior Wrozlie Barnett was named to the second team. 

 Danville sophomore Isabella Guest was named to the 3A second team.
