Falkville forestry team wins contest

Special congratulations goes out this week to the Falkville Alabama FFA Chapter forestry team for winning the Morgan County FFA Forestry contest. The team members are Talon Payne, Landen Fields, Cedric Beavers, Avery Bramlett and Meggie Bramlett. Cedric was the individual high scorer of the entire contest.  They will compete in the North District eliminations contest .

Town of Falkville Thanks Dawn Estes

The Town of Falkville expresses their appreciation to their municipal Clerk Dawn Estes. She does everything with love and compassion for the community and the Town Hall. Dawn received special recognition during Professional Municipal Clerks week of 2023.

Falkville Fire and Rescue news  

The Members of the Falkville Fire and Rescue received 82 calls for the month of April of 2023. They had 49 EMS calls, four residential fire calls, one passenger vehicle fire call, one brush fire call, one residential Fire alarm call, one business fire alarm call, one smoke investigation call, four life assist calls and six weather-related calls.   

Falkville FFA competes in Quiz Bowl 

The Falkville Alabama FFA Chapter Quiz Bowl Team, competed in the Morgan County FFA Quiz Bowl Contest. This was the first time that the Falkville Chapter has competed in this event at the county level. Team members are Reed Dillard, Bron Gandy, Hunter Pigg, Jaxon Stringer and Clay Fitzgerald. They will compete in district eliminations.

Danville High School announces students of month

Congratulations goes out this week to the Danville High School April students and Teacher of the Month. They are freshman Cory Thibodeaux, sophomore Kendall Wydner, junior Wendy Garcia and senior Kayleigh Wydner. Teacher of the Month for April was Christy Ferguson.
