Boys basketball: County schools pick up area wins

Tuesday

Priceville 49. East Lawrence 46

The Priceville Bulldogs went on a 16-3 run in the fourth quarter to pull off an improbable 49-46 win on the road at East Lawrence. The Bulldogs trailed 40-33 to start the fourth quarter.

Cole Linderman finished with 25 points to lead Priceville. Lindeman scored his 1,000th point during the win. Jake Langlois added 10.

K’Lebb Hill led East Lawrence with 10.

Decatur Heritage 75, Falkville 61

Falkville fell to 1-3 in area play with a 75-61 loss to Decatur Heritage.

Isaiah Warnick finished with 24 points for Falkville, while Dawson Fowler added 14.

Bo Mitchell led Decatur Heritage with 18 points. Brady Wilson added 15 points, while Mason Baxley added 14.

Russellville 67, Brewer 57

Three players scored in double digits for Brewer in their 67-57 loss to Russellville.

Mac Shadden finished with 21 points and eight rebounds to lead Brewer. Austyn Holmes added 17 points and seven rebounds, while Tyde Fairbanks finished with 10.

E.J. King led Russellville with 19 points.

Colbert County 57, Danville 46

Danville dropped to 4-2 in area play with a 57-46 loss to Colbert County.

A.J. Holladay finished with 13 points to lead Danville. Gage Taylor added 11 points, while Huntley Segars had 10.

James Berryman finished with 19 points to lead Colbert County.

Thursday

Falkville 57, West End 43

Falkville improved to 2-3 in area play with a 57-43 win over West End. The Blue Devils led 30-11 at halftime.

Isaiah Warnick finished with 18 points to lead Falkville. Cayden Butler added 14 points and Dawson Fowler had 10 points.

Thad Pierce finished with 13 points for West End.

Friday

Good Hope 56, Priceville 53

Priceville fell to 3-3 in area play with their 56-53 loss to Good Hope. The Bulldogs will face off with the Raiders to open the area tournament in a couple of weeks.

Tyler Case finished with 17 points to lead Priceville. Sammy Holmes added 15, while Cole Lindeman had 13.

Weston Hancock finished with 22 points to lead Good Hope. Colton Lindsay added 12 points, while K’mal Bell had 11.

Brewer 47, West Point 44

Brewer improved to 2-3 in area play with a 47-44 win over West Point. The Patriots led 27-20 at halftime.

Kade George finished with 16 points and six rebounds to lead Brewer. Austyn Holmes added 15 points and six rebounds, while Jackson Dunn had eight points.

Ashton Rodgers finished with 23 points to lead West Point.

Lindsay Lane 49, Falkville 33

Caden Burnett finished with a double-double, 13 points and 12 rebounds in Falkville’s 49-33 loss to Lindsay Lane.

Whitt Jackson led Lindsay Lane with 16 points.

Danville 64, Colbert Heights 48

Joseph Smith finished with a career-high 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead Danville to a 64-48 win over Colbert Heights. The win improved the Hawks to 4-2 in area play and secured the No. 2 seed for Danville in the upcoming area tournament.

A.J. Holladay added 14 points, while Ben Ellenburg and Ben Capps had seven points each in the win.
