Priceville student-athletes sign college offers

A trio of Priceville High School athletes will continue their careers at the collegiate level after signing scholarship papers last week. Cross Country runners Elizabeth Cain and Adam Taylor along with baseball pitcher Jojo Garrison inked their names on the dotted line.

Both Cain and Taylor signed to run Cross Country with UAH.

Cain recently finished fifth in the girls’ Class 4A state championship. She finished with six top-five finishes this season and a personal best time of 19:56.22. She has been an All-State selection the last two seasons.

Taylor finished fifth in the boys’ Class 4A event. He finished with seven top-five finishes this season and set a school record with a personal best of 16:14.80. He is also a two-time All-State pick.

Taylor also runs track for Priceville. He received All-State honors after anchoring Priceville’s 4×800 relay team to a second-place finish last season.

Cain and Taylor are coached by Chris Odom.

Jojo Garrison
Garrison will continue his career with the Troy Trojans. He will play for coach Skyler Meade, who will be in his first season as the Trojans’ head coach.

Garrison finished 5-0 with 34 strikeouts in 23 innings last season for Priceville head coach Preston Potter.
