Title: “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”
Author: Jeff Kinney

Gregg is in a new school trying to navigate his way through life. Trying to make sense on how his new world works, Gregg finds himself in sticky, and sometimes smelly situations. Like any kid he makes friends and loses friends. He finds himself in conflict and dealing with an annoying older brother, an annoying younger brother and a bully or two.

Young kids who love to read or are just getting into reading will love this first book in a series. The library has a copy as well as the reading apps, Libby and Hoopla. E-books and audio books are available.

Title: “Not a Happy Family”
Author: Shari Lapena

Millionaires Fred and Sheila Merton have been found murdered in their home the day after Easter. Their three grown children were all over the previous evening for Easter dinner – which didn’t last long.  The arguments started early and ended with everyone leaving angry. Fred is merciless about their shortcomings and Sheila never defended any of them. Frankly, all their children are relieved when they receive the news about their deaths. They stand to inherit a fortune, and nothing seems to be standing in their way now. Except for the fact that the police suspect one of the children – but which one? They all had motive and opportunity.  Maybe it was the housekeeper, or maybe even the victim’s sister.  And then there is a rumor about another child that may be in the will as well. With all the animosity going around, this is not the family you want to spend the holidays with.
