Title: “Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories”
Author: Kelly Ripa

Actress, talk show host and entrepreneur Kelly Ripa has written a collection of short stories of her life. She shares stories about her time on the soap opera, All My Children where she met her now husband, Mark Consuelos. Ripa shares about having her children, and the journey she went on that landed her in the hosting seat at Live! She keeps it very real and very personal at every turn of the page. She is honest about life, plastic surgery, and at times, her own sanity.

Think of an extended version of host chat from Kelly Ripa’s show, Live! With Kelly & Ryan except longer and better. Kelly Ripa is authentic and hilarious in the telling of her life stories. She does not hold anything back. Ripa is raw and true to herself and to those that she holds dear to her heart. As a T.V. personality you think you know someone, but in actuality, she is just that, a personality. In real life Kelly Ripa is just as much of a homebody, introvert as many of us are – she puts on an act. Because she is an actress, as she stresses in her book. You can check out Live Wire at the library, Libby, one of the library’s e-reading apps, an e-book or audiobook where Kelly Ripa herself narrates.
