Stars over Hollywood Prom brings glitz, glamour to Hartselle

By Staff Reports

It was a night filled with Old Hollywood Glamour at the Sparkman Civic Center Saturday when the Stars over Hollywood Prom was held for those with special needs.

200 attendees with their dates and families participated in the inaugural event that featured limos, dancing and a red carpet entrance.

“We appreciate the community helping us offer this event,” Staci Wells said. Wells is the Shining Stars director who organized the prom. “Our attendees had a wonderful time. I had a text Sunday morning with a picture of one of our prom-goers eating breakfast with his Oscar.

“It was a great event and we are already looking forward to next year,” she added.
