Alabama Sports Writers Association releases preseason football rankings

The Alabama Sports Writers Association recently released its preseason high school football rankings. Although no teams from the Enquirer’s coverage area were ranked, Hartselle and Priceville received votes in their classification’s rankings.

The season kicks off next Friday, August 19. Austin traveling to Hartselle headlines the opening night schedule. Other games include Falkville at Vinemont, Plainview at Priceville, Hanceville at Brewer and Danville at Lawrence County.
