Tiger tennis advances to state tournament

The Hartselle boys tennis team finished runner-up in the 6A Section 7 tournament this past week at Point Mallard and punched their ticket to the AHSAA State Tournament in Mobile.

Landon Robinson won the No. 4 singles title and was the only individual title winner for the Tigers. Eli Terry and Ben Carnes won the No. 2 doubles title.

Logan Crouch, No. 3 singles, Carnes, No. 5 singles, and Mark Cera, No. 6 singles, advanced to the finals and finished runner-up.

Terry, No. 1 singles, and Spencer Ambrose, No. 2 singles, and the doubles teams of Ambrose/Crouch, No. 1 doubles, and Robinson/Zeke Priola, No. 3 doubles, made it to the semifinals before being eliminated.

The state tournament begins April 21 in Mobile at the Mobile Tennis Center.
