Authorities find, arrest man hiding in dryer in Hartselle home

Feb. 3 county deputies located Tyler James Freeman, 23, of Decatur, hiding in a dryer at a home on Nethery Road in Hartselle.  

Freeman was arrested on six outstanding warrants stemming from a traffic stop Dec. 11, 2021, when a Somerville Police Unit was stolen.  

Freeman is charged with attempting to elude, resisting arrest, escape third degree, theft fourth degree, theft first degree and reckless endangerment. 

He is also being held on three additional warrants with the Hartselle Police Department. 

He was booked in the Morgan County Jail. 

The arrest was aided by tips from the public.
