Falkville’s Miller tops 1,000 point mark

Avery Miller eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career in Falkville’s 72-49 win over Whitesburg Christian Academy. The Blue Devils broke open a close game at halftime, 37-31, by outscoring the Warriors 33-18 in the second half, including 12-4 in the fourth quarter.

Miller finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead Falkville (20-9). Dawson Norwood scored 12 points, while Josh Bradford scored nine and had eight rebounds.

Falkville 56, Vinemont 48
The combination of Norwood and Miller finished with 41 points in the Blue Devils’ 56-48 win over Vinemont. Falkville led 24-22 at halftime and used an 18-12 fourth quarter to seal the victory.

Norwood scored 21 points, while Miller finished with 20 and seven rebounds.

Falkville 62, St. Bernard 47
Falkville picked up a 62-47 win over St. Bernard Jan. 31. The Blue Devils led 24-15 after one quarter and 36-26 at halftime.

Norwood led Falkville 18 points. Colton Hooper had 12 points, while Camden Reid scored 11.

Priceville 77, Ardmore 32
Priceville hit 12 three-pointers, including 10 in the second half, in a 77-32 win over Ardmore on Senior Night. The Bulldogs led 29-12 at the half before outscoring the Tigers 48-20 in the second half.

Josh Greenhill led Priceville (21-7) with 11 points, six rebounds and four steals. Chris Thomas added 10 points, while Jake Langlois and Xander Gaines scored eight points each.

Priceville 43, Danville 26
The Bulldogs picked up a little revenge in their 43-26 win over Danville Feb. 1. The Hawks had defeated Priceville a little over a week before in the Morgan County Tournament Finals. The Bulldogs led 30-13 at halftime.

Langlois had 13 points to lead Priceville. Greenhill and Elijah Hopkins each added six points.

Kohl Randolph finished with 12 points and five rebounds to lead Danville. JoJo Whisenant added five points and seven rebounds.

Good Hope 45, Priceville 41
Priceville fell 45-41 on the road at Good Hope. The Bulldogs led 19-14 at halftime before being outscored 31-22 in the second half.

Greenhill finished with 12 points and seven rebounds to lead Priceville.

Danville 60, Hatton 38
The Danville boys picked up their 22nd win with a 60-38 victory over Hatton Feb. 3. The Hawks led 33-17 at halftime before outscoring the Hornets 27-21 in the second half.

Witten Morgan and Randolph each scored 13 points to lead Danville. Randolph added five rebounds. Whisenant finished with 11 points, three assists and three steals.

Danville 63, Tharptown 53
Danville went on the road Jan. 31 and picked up a 63-53 win over Tharptown. The Hawks led 38-25 at the half and held off a late rally to win.

Randolph finished with 22 points and five rebounds to lead Danville. Landon Freeman had eight points. Whisenant added six points and five rebounds, while Morgan scored seven points and dished out six assists.

Brindlee Mountain 66, Brewer 64
Brewer dropped a two-point decision to Brindlee Mountain Feb. 3. The Patriots (3-22) trailed 31-25 at the half before taking a 48-47 lead into the fourth quarter.

Hunter Lawrence finished with 23 points and three steals to lead Brewer. Austyn Holmes added 12 points, while Tamerion Watkins had 11 points.

Rogers 66, Brewer 30
Brewer was held to seven second-half points in a 66-30 road loss to Rogers Feb. 1. The Patriots trailed 38-23 at halftime before being outscored 28-7 in the second half.

Watkins scored nine points to lead Brewer. Xavier Toney added seven points, while Russell Mahan had six points.

Fairview 64, Brewer 44
Brewer dropped the final area game of the season 64-44 to Fairview Jan. 31. The Patriots trailed 23-21 at halftime before being outscored 41-23 in the second half.

Mac Shadden finished with 13 points to lead Brewer.
