Boys Holiday Hoops Recap

Falkville and Brewer picked up wins at the West Point Christmas Tournament, while Danville defeated Elkmont at the West Morgan Christmas Classic.

West Point Tournament

West Point 59, Falkville 55

Falkville fell 59-55 to West Point in the West Point Christmas Tournament semifinals. The Blue Devils led for most of the game before a West Point flourish late in the fourth quarter.

Colton Hooper hit five three-pointers and finished with 24 points to lead Falkville. Avery Miller scored 13 points, and Josh Bradford added seven.

Falkville 50, J.B. Pennington 42

The Blue Devils opened the West Point Christmas Tournament with a 50-42 win over JB Pennington.

Hooper had a game-high 13 points to lead Falkville. Miller added 12 points and eight rebounds, while Dawson Norwood scored eight.

Brewer 56, Curry 47

Brewer opened the West Point Christmas Tournament with a 56-47 win over Curry. The win set up a semifinal matchup against county rival Priceville.

Tamerion Watkins scored 20 points to lead the Patriots. Mac Shadden had seven points, while Austyn Holmes and Kade George had six points each.

Ryan George led Curry with 20 points.

West Morgan Christmas Classic

Danville 68, Elkmont 54

The Hawks closed out the West Morgan Christmas Classic with a 68-54 win over Elkmont. Danville led 34-33 at halftime and outscored the Red Devils 21-13 in the third quarter to extend their lead to 55-46.

Kohl Randolph scored a game-high 26 points to lead Danville. He also had eight rebounds, five steals and two assists. Carter Holladay had 17 points for Danville, and Witten Morgan had six points and seven assists.

West Morgan 59, Danville 49

Danville opened the West Morgan Christmas Classic with a rematch against West Morgan. The Rebels had defeated the Hawks 64-33 earlier in the season.

The matchup once again went to the Rebels.

West Morgan led 27-24 at halftime and extended that to 46-36 heading into the fourth quarter.

Randolph had a game-high 19 points for Danville, and JoJo Whisenant scored 10.

Skyler Hutto had a team-high 16 points to lead the Rebels. Carson Muse added 12, and Dyllan Ward finished with 10.
