Tigers take down Minor 69-56 at Metro Tournament

On day two of the Metro Tournament, Hartselle faced off against the Minor Tigers.

The previous meeting between the two teams came in the Northwest Regional semifinals at Wallace State in 2020. Hartselle came away with the overtime victory in that matchup.

It was all Hartselle in this matchup of Tigers. Hartselle jumped out to a 21-14 lead following the first quarter and led 40-23 at halftime.

The Hartselle boys increased their lead to 55-36 heading into the final quarter.

Kiah Key led four Hartselle players in double digits. He finished with 15 points, six assists, five steals and four rebounds. Ward added 12 points and four rebounds. Itsede and Kohl Key had 11 points each.
