A mild winter evening and a few rain showers made for a great night for the annual Hartselle Christmas Parade Dec. 9, and people came out in droves to participate in the jolly good time.  

Sponsored by DiamondPro, this year’s event was what event organizer and Hartselle Kiwanis president Jennifer Williams called a success.  

“A ‘Hart’-felt thank you to everyone involved with last night’s Christmas Parade,” Williams shared on Facebook. “From those who built and rode on the amazing floats, those in the groups who marched or danced through the rain with smiles on their faces, the musical groups who played pre-parade to entertain the crowds, the volunteers and city employees who helped things run smoothly and the businesses who helped make it possible, and finally, the crowds who showed up and were so supportive even through the rain showers, we appreciate each and every one of you. 

“You are what makes our community so amazing, and we loved every minute – all the planning and work was worth it to see the great turnout and the happy faces all along the route.”  

Sibling group Ryan and Elizabeth Aymett entertained parade-goers at the gazebo near Life Church. Sisters Lilly and Madison McCoy, who together perform as Barefoot & Boots, performed near The Depot.  

It’s Your Day took home first place in the float decoration contest. Better Way Pest Control and The Beef Farm came in second and third place, respectively.  

“Everyone put so much into the entries this year, and it was noted and appreciated by all of us who enjoyed the show,” Williams added.
