Lady Tigers rout Lady Black Bears

The Lady Tigers rolled to a 31-point victory on the road at Austin Friday. 

Hartselle opened the game on a 7-0 run thanks in part to Gracie Hill, who scored five of the seven. The teams each scored six to close the quarter.  

The Lady Tigers extended their lead to 22-9 heading into halftime after holding the Lady Black Bears to three second-quarter points. 

Four players scored for Hartselle in the third quarter as the Tiger girls continued to pull away from Austin. The Lady Tigers outscored Austin 17-8 in the quarter to push their lead to 39-17. 

Hartselle closed out the game with an 11-2 to finish off the 50-19 win. 

Marchbanks led three Lady Tigers in double digits with 14 points. She also had five rebounds, four assists, four steals and a block. Hill added 11 points, six rebounds and three steals, while Shipley had 10 points, three rebounds and two blocks. Mary Francis Itsede finished with six points and seven rebounds. Kaitlyn Hogan scored seven.
