Marchbanks and Hill lead the Lady Tigers past Madison Academy

Masyn Marchbanks and Gracie Hill combined for 42 points in the Lady Tigers 58-31 win at Madison Academy last Tuesday.

The first half belonged to Marchbanks, who scored a team-high 18 points in the half. She scored eight in a row to end the first quarter as Hartselle trailed the Lady Mustangs 11-10.

In the second quarter, Marchbanks added ten points. The Lady Tigers closed the quarter on a 6-0 run to take a 28-21 lead into halftime.

The second half belonged to Hill, who had 14 points, including a 9-2 run to open the third quarter on back-to-back-to-back three-pointers. Her shooting propelled the Lady Tigers to a 37-23 lead less than two minutes into the second half.

Hartselle closed the game on a 17-5 run to get the 58-31 victory. They held Madison Academy to 10 points in the second half.

Marchbanks finished with a game-high 25 points, seven steals, five rebounds, and four assists. Hill added a career-high 17 points, including 15 on five made three-pointers. Kaitlyn Hogan had seven points and five rebounds.

Carla Pulliam led Madison Academy with a team-high 11 points.
