Larissa Preuitt signs with Alabama softball

Hartselle senior Larissa Preuitt made it official last Wednesday when she signed her National Letter of Intent to join the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team. She has been committed to the Crimson Tide for over a year.

She is the #4 ranked outfielder and 14th overall player in the 2022 Extra Inning Softball Elite 100. She is a two-time all-area, all-region, and all-state outfielder and played in the 2021 AHSAA North/South All-Star Game.

Preuitt plays centerfield for the Lady Tigers. She scored a school record of 72 runs last season and set the school record for stolen bases with 50. She had a batting average of .460 and hit seven triples, good for fourth in school history.

“It is a really exciting time for me,” said Preuitt. “It has always been my dream to play for the Crimson Tide.”

She chose the Crimson Tide over South Alabama and Iowa.
