Falkville drops region game to Section 21-6

Falkville dropped its first region game of the season 21-6 to visiting Section this past Friday. 

The Lions held a 13-0 lead heading to the fourth quarter after scores in the second and third quarters. 

Jordan Greenfield got the Blue Devils on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter with a touchdown run.  

Section tacked on a touchdown in the fourth to make the final score 21-6. 

Caden Burnett finished eight for 24 with 142 yards passing and one interception while rushing for 30 yards. Greenfield finished with 49 yards rushing and a touchdown on 14 carries. Andrew Jones had five receptions for 75 yards. 

The Blue Devils finished with 216 total yards – 142 yards passing and 74 yards rushing. Section had 256 total yards, including 155 on the ground. 

Falkville (4-2, 2-1) travels to Tanner (5-2, 4-0) Friday night with first place in 2A Region 7 on the line.
