Town of Falkville shows Southern hospitality to stranded visitor

By Martha Jackson

Sue Leighton, from Columbus, Ohio, was recently driving through the Town of Falkville when her pick-up truck broke down and wouldn’t start.

She asked four local gentlemen – and these four worked for the Town of Falkville – whether they knew of a good local mechanic. They called one and stayed with her until the mechanic arrived. They helped to get the truck and Sue over to the shop.

Here’s the kicker – one of those guys is the mayor of Falkville!

They made sure Sue was safe and taken care of! Sue said, “Now that’s Southern hospitalty. “

Sue is now safely home in Columbus, Ohio.
