Louise Lawrence

Funeral service for Louise Lawrence, 81, was held July 26 at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Walley Blackmon and Donnie Carroll officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was held in Mount Tabor Cemetery. 

Mrs. Lawrence passed away July 23. She was born Nov. 9, 1939, in Cullman County to Edgar E. Carroll and Vergie V. Carroll. She was a member of the East Highland Baptist Church for many years.  

Retiring after 15 years of service from South Trust Bank of Hartselle, she then worked for Mrs. Sharrott’s kindergarten for nine years. 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Hamil Lawrence; her parents; twin brothers Otis and Ottis Carroll; and brothers Theo and Norman Carroll. 

Survivors include her sons, Charles Lawrence (Joyce) and Bobby E. (Linda) Lawrence; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lawrence, Bobby Jr. Lawrence, Summer Lawrence, Jakob Lawrence, twins Bailey and Brasher Lawrence and Bransten Smith; and great-grandchildren Jaxon Maxwell, Triton Lawrence, Lydia Lawrence and Scarlett Grimmett.  

Pallbearers were Brantsen Smith, Jakob Lawrence, Kyle Carroll and John Shaddrix. 

Ammie Marie Ledlow
Hartselle
A memorial service for Ammie Marie Ledlow, 45, was held July 30 at 7 p.m. at Daystar Church, Hartselle campus, with Pastor Tom Watson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  

Ms. Ledlow died July 21 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born April 2, 1976, in Morgan County to Clinton and Martha Ledlow.
Ammie was a loving, compassionate person who will be missed dearly.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Richard Ledlow, and her grandparents, Russell and Nora Wilson and Dewey and Carrie Ledlow.  

God didn’t bless her with children, but she helped raised several god-children, including Malik Mitchell. 

Survivors include her mother, Martha Ledlow; brother, Shannon Ledlow (Samantha); and nephews and niece, Gaven, Morgan and Kody Ledlow. 

Bert Albert Siverling 

Hartselle
Funeral service for Bert Albert Siverling, 82, of Hartselle, was held July 28 at 3 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. Nathan Green, Bro. Glenn Smallwood and Bro. G.T. Roberson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was at Shiloh Cemetery.  

Mr. Siverling died July 24 at his residence.  

He was born Feb. 11, 1939, in Florida to Lewis and Villa Crews Siverling. He retired from Amoco, where he worked as a millwright/maintenance technician.  

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Lindsey Crawford, Paul Crawford and Oliver Siverling. 

Survivors include his wife, Martha Tucker Siverling of Hartselle; one son, Terry Siverling (Nancy) of Decatur; one daughter, Melinda Smith (Jeff) of Church Hill, Maryland; three stepchildren, Darren Tucker (Roxanne) of Somerville, Kathy Hines (John) of Hartselle and Christy Wells (John) of Decatur; one sister, Frances Barber (Robert Lusk); 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. 

Jeffrey Allen Webb
Oden Ridge
A graveside funeral service and interment for Jeffrey Allen Webb, 52, was held July 28 at 10 a.m. at Oden Ridge Cemetery with Bro. Brandon Berry and Bro. Gary Nunn officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  

Mr. Webb died July 25 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. 

He was born Sept. 29, 1968, in Kentucky to James Dudley Webb and Wanda Kilgo Marion. He was employed with Webb Wheel Products in the maintenance field and also was a poultry farmer.  

He was a kind person who enjoyed life and family and loved Alabama football and his dog, Max. He was a simple Christian man who attended Eva Baptist Church.  

He had a passion for farming, raising cattle and chickens.  

He was preceded in death by his father. 

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Webb; daughter, Kayla Webb Howse (Justin); mother, Wanda Kilgo Marion; stepdad, Billy Wayne Wilson; sisters, Martha Gail Webb Kaser and Erin Wilson (Ray); grandchild, Landon Howse; and nieces and nephews, Walker Kaser, Hunter Brooke Kaser, Hunter Blaine Jordan, Olivia Turrentine, Gracie Ray, Eli Ray and Rileigh Ray. 

Pallbearers were Walker Kaser, Hunter Jordan, Eli Ray, Michael Childers, Josh Mooney and Burgess Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Rickey Mooney, Frankie Brindley and George Brindley. 

Teresa Fowler White 

Danville 

Funeral services for Teresa Fowler White, 62, of Danville, were held July 28 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Harold Fowler and Denny Bowling officiating. Burial was in Midway Memorial Gardens. 

Teresa departed this life July 25 in Danville.  

She was born July 30, 1958, to Willard J. Fowler and Grace Bowling Fowler. She was raised in Florette until her marriage. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana. Her enjoyment in life was camping, crewing for hot air balloons, working in her flowers, country music and spending time with her grandchildren enjoying the beauty of nature that God had provided her.  

She was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church at Somerville. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Jimmy White; three children, Jeremy P. White and wife Jessica, Timmy P. White and wife Melody and Kimberly D. White; 10 grandchildren, Justin White, Jace White, Preston White, Brianna Martin, Zech Daniel, Blake Daniel, Eli White, Patrick Cooper, Casey Borden and Max Hitt; two sisters she loved more than they could ever imagine, Jean F. Pittenger and late husband Robert and Brenda F. Bowers and her husband James; mother-in-law Helen White; brother-in-law Joe Douglas White and wife Carleen; sister-in-law, Charlotte White; special friend of more than 35 years, Patsy Cole, who she cherished as a sister; four nephews, Brain Abbott (Debra), Danny White (Connie), Michael Malone (Jessica) and Chad Smith; great-nephew Austyn Smith; a niece, Carla Kirkham (Franklin); great-nieces Kelsey Farr Emily Smith, Susan Leon, Cheyenne Fluharty, Jessica Malone, Haley Malone, Whitney Smith and Callie Brooke White, who was like a precious granddaughter.  

She leaves numerous other family members and friends she also loved spending time with. 

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Shirley Latham.

David Van Glasscock 

Hartselle
A memorial service for David Van Glasscock, 74, was held July 30 at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  

Mr. Glasscock died July 26 at his residence. He was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Morgan County to Van Buel Glasscock and Gladys Speake Glasscock, who preceded him in death. 

Mr. Glasscock attended Morgan County High School and then graduated from Columbia Military Academy in Columbia, Tennessee. He also attended Mississippi State University before beginning his lifelong career in cattle farming. He spent his life raising cattle on his farm in the Oak Ridge community.  

In 1979 he married his wife, Margie, who preceded him in death. 

He was a member of the National Guard. 

Survivors include his son, David “Bud” Glasscock (Meredith); daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Glasscock; grandchildren, David Grant Glasscock and Kate Hall Glasscock; and special friend, Kathy Howard.

A graveside funeral service and interment for Doris K. Stanford, 90, was held July 30 at 6 p.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. 

Mrs. Stanford died July 25 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Nov. 14, 1930, in Limestone County to George King and Laura Hargrove King. She was employed by the U.S. government as a materials supply manager, prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Church of God. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Stanford; her parents; a sister, Mildred Hargrove; and a brother, Alvin Onnie King. 

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers were Phillip Kelso, Jordan Kelso, Justin Kelso and Shawn Lewter. 

Kimberly BethAnne Garrison Peters 

Hartselle 

Funeral service for Kimberly BethAnne Garrison Peters, 35, was held July 30 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, Old Corn Road, in Cullman County. 

Ms. Peters died July 26 at Crestwood Medical Center.  

She was born Jan. 31, 1986, in Morgan County to Tim Garrison and Patty Couey Smallwood. She was employed as a supervisor for BBVA Bank prior to her passing. 

Preceding her in death were her son, Riley Garrison; two grandfathers, Paul Garrison and Joe Couey; and grandmother Patricia Byrd. 

Survivors include her father, Tim Garrison; mother, Patty Couey Smallwood; sons, Skyler Peters and Teegan Peters; daughter, Hadley Peters; brother, Wade Garrison; grandmother, Willadean Garrison; and uncle, Alan Garrison. 

Pallbearers were family and friends. 

Helen Cobbs
Hartselle
Funeral service for Helen Cobbs, 81, was held July 30 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Price and Bro. Walter Blackman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Bethel Methodist Cemetery.  

Mrs. Cobbs died July 28 at her residence. She was born May 25, 1940, in Tennessee, to Buford Lee Doggett and Sally Lou McGaugh Doggett. She was a member of the East Highland Baptist Church and was employed by the Hartselle City Schools system for 18 years prior to her retirement.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Cobbs; two brothers, Joe and Glenn Doggett; a sister, Frances Harwell; and her parents. 

Survivors include her daughter, Benita Wiley (Alan), Hartselle; son, Tracy Cobbs, Hartselle; sister, Betty Ingram (Bill), Pulaski, Tenn.; step-grandson, Seth Wiley (Raegan); step-great-granddaughter, Lennon Wiley; and several nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers were Roy Cobbs, Glen Cobbs, Jerry Thompson, Steve Ingram, Sam Gully and Walt Russell. 

Vivian Dobbs Hopper
Hartselle
A graveside funeral service and interment for Vivian Dobbs Hopper, 96, was held Aug. 3 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Tabor Cemetery with Bro. Doug Wells officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.  

Mrs. Hopper died July 30 at her residence. She was born Oct. 24, 1924, in Morgan County to William Herbert Dobbs and Maude Vaughn Dobbs. 

Mrs. Hopper was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartselle, and she was a wonderful mother and grandmother who loved her children dearly and always wanted her family around her. She was a very talented woman, an amazing homemaker for her family and a wonderful cook. 

Preceding her in death were her first husband, Buford M. Shull; second husband, Harris H. Hopper; a son, Lester Ray Shull; and five siblings.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Shull Oden; sons, Buddy Shull (Alice) and Allen Hopper (Gay); seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tom McCutchen, Nathan Walker, Richard Thomas, Jeff Johnson, Ben Hopper and Matt Hopper. 

Barbara Fay Norwood 

Hartselle 

Graveside service for Barbara Fay Norwood, 80, of Hartselle was held Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with Bro. John Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. 

Mrs. Norwood was born Oct. 31, 1940 in Hartselle to Walter S. Wright and Mary Jane Garrison Wright.  She went to be with the Lord July 30 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital.   

Barbara was a custodian at Hartselle Junior High School. She was a member of Holy Church of Christ in Hartselle and a member of the Sounds of Glory Gospel Group. She loved the Lord and her family, and she loved to sing praises to the Lord and write gospel songs. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Silas Ray Norwood. 

Survivors include her son, Silas Ray Norwood Jr. (Brook) of Hartselle; daughter, Tina Faye Bates of Hartselle; two brothers, Virgil Wright of Hartselle and Jessie Wright (Gail) of Hartselle; three sisters, Martha Dyer of Hartselle, Gloria Russell of Hartselle and Helen Johnson (John) of Hartselle; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  

Pallbearers were Victor Lamb, Jimmy Ray Self, Scott Wright, Caleb Vinson, Alan Vinson and Bradley West.
