Hartselle Junior High baseball goes 2-2 at Perfect Game tournament in Hoover

The Hartselle Junior High baseball team split four games at the Perfect Game tournament in Hoover last weekend.

The Tigers opened the tournament with a 9-2 loss to Thompson 7th and followed that up with a 3-1 loss to Chelsea to close out Day One.

On Saturday, Hartselle bounced back with wins over Thompson 8th (6-2) and Hillcrest (4-2).

Porter Simmons and Jace Meadows picked up wins on the mound for the Tigers.

Ty Odom had four hits and two RBI for the Tigers, while Meadows finished with two RBI.

The Junior High Tigers are now 6-2 for the season. They opened the season with doubleheader sweeps of Liberty and Elkmont.
