Danville boys pick up two wins heading into Christmas break

Danville hit eight three-pointers in a 42-35 victory over Corner Dec. 21. 

The Hawks jumped out to a 12-7 lead in the first quarter behind three three-pointers by Kohl Randolph. They extended their lead to 20-14 at halftime. 

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Hawks led 27-19. 

Aaron Alexander scored 13 points to lead Danville (8-3). Randolph added 12 points and 11 rebounds, while KJ Melson had 12 points. 

Skylar Norris had 15 to lead Corner. 

Danville 66, Lindsay Lane 42 

Four players scored in double figures to lead the Hawks to a 66-42 win over Lindsay Lane in their final game before the Christmas break. 

Danville hit four three-pointers in the first quarter, jumping out to a 21-11 lead. The Hawks hit four more in the second quarter to extend the lead to 42-18 at halftime. 

The Hawks outscored the Lions 24-23 in the second half to take home the win. 

KJ Melson scored a game-high 19 points to lead Danville (9-3). Kohl Randolph added 14 points, while Witten Morgan had 13 and Aaron Alexander finished with 10. 

Randolph 43, Priceville 38 

Randolph used a second-half surge to defeat Priceville 43-38 Dec. 21. 

The Raiders held a one-point lead, 15-14, following the first quarter, but the Bulldogs grabbed the lead late in the second quarter and took a 23-20 lead to halftime. 

Randolph regained the lead with a three-pointer late in the third and held a 31-30 lead heading into the fourth quarter. They outscored the Bulldogs 12-8 to hold on for the victory. 

Elijah Hopkins, Chris Thomas and Jake Langlois each finished with eight points apiece to lead Priceville (4-7, 0-3). Dylan Fry added seven points. 

Curtis Cooper scored a game-high 20 points to lead Randolph (3-5, 2-0). Grayson Davenport added 14.
