Eva Frontier Days to host rodeo

Eva Frontier Days will host a rodeo with barrel racing and bull riding Sept. 19 at 1718 Frost Road in Eva.  

The gates will open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m.  

The bull riding event will take 20 entries, and the Top 5 will proceed to the short round. There will be a $60 entry fee, with $10 going to the stock charge, with $25 dollars added to the event.  

The barrel racing event will take the first 10 riders in the performance, with a $50 entry fee and $10 going toward a timer fee, with $500 being added to the event.   

The “Slack” begins at 7 p.m. Sept. 18, with exhibitions from 57 p.m. for $10 a run.  

The guidelines for the event include arrival time one hour before performance, dress code required and nalcohol allowed othe premisesCall iwill be Sept. 13; the callinumber is 256612-2796.  

The event books will close at 10:30. A party will be held following the performance.   

All Eva Frontier Days events except the rodeo have been canceled for 2020 because of COVID-19!  

Punkin Center Produce Store  

Fresh fruit and vegetables are now available at the Punkin Center Community Store, located at 375 Kirby Bridge Road in Danville. They are open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. They have a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables displayed and ready to buy.
