Patrick Joseph Fiessinger

Patrick Joseph Fiessinger, 49, died July 12 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born July 4, 1964, in Ohio to Kenneth Paul Fiessinger and Connie Jean Schramo Bolick. He was employed by George Brindley Logging Company as a logger prior to his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Maness, Arlington, Tennessee, and Jeannie Curland, Lexington, Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held by his family at a later date.
Tina Blevins Alldredge
Falkville
Mrs. Tina Alldredge, 49, passed away July 12 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born Aug. 13, 1970, in Morgan County. She was employed as the office manager of Alabama Title Loans prior to her passing.
She was a wonderful wife and mother.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Alldredge; two sons, Alex Lee Alldredge and Aden Lee Alldredge; her parents, Vicki McSpadden King (Major); one brother, Waymon Lee Heaps Jr.; and one sister, Catherine Woodard.

Carver Wycliffe Gordon
Hartselle
Carver Wycliffe Gordon, 96, of Hartselle passed away July 14 at Falkville Healthcare Center.
Carver was born Nov. 5, 1923 to the late Peyton William and Clara Effie Gordon of Laurel, Mississippi. He was a US Navy veteran (May 1943 to November 1945) and served on the battleship USS Mississippi in the Pacific theater during World War II.
Carver was an avid painter and photographer and a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great–grandfather.
Carver was preceded in death (in 2007) by his wife of 55 years, Cecelia Irene Gordon. He is survived by a son, Russell; three daughters, Marilyn, Alesia, and Julie; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Final arrangements were handled by Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur.
River A. Flemons
Somerville
A graveside funeral service and interment for River A. Flemons, 4 months old, were held July 17 at 5 p.m. at New Salem Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
River passed away July 12 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born March 2 in Madison County to Shaun Houston Flemons and Tonya Helms. River was a sweet baby boy who was loved very much by his family. He will be missed dearly.
Survivors include his parents, Tonya Helms Flemons and Shaun Houston Flemons; three brothers, Dakota Helms, Houston Flemons and Levi Flemons; three sisters, Bailey Holaway, Shailynn Flemons and Gabby Massey; grandparents June Helms and Vickie and Allen Flemons; three uncles, Daniel Flemons, Justin Flemons and Chris Flemons; and two aunts, Laura Helms and Heather Helms.
Pallbearers were Shaun Flemons, Allen Flemons, Steven Shaneyfelt and Arnold St. Antoine.
David Jackson “Pa” Moody
Danville
David Jackson “Pa” Moody, 79, died July 14. He was born March 3, 1941, in Morgan County to William Henry Moody and Maudie Estell Atchley Moody. He was self-employed in the construction industry as a concrete finisher.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Clark Moody; one daughter, Regina Moody Murphy (Jeremy); two sons, Timmy Moody (Judy) and Andy Moody (Brittney); one brother, John Thomas “Johnny” Moody (Kathleen); one sister, Elizabeth Ann Moody Hatfield (Raymond); nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled at this time.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of North Alabama and to Rural Grove Baptist Church.
Thomas Garrie Edwards
Riverdale, Georgia
Thomas Garrie Edwards passed away from respiratory issues July 13 at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Georgia.
He is preceded in death by one son, Thomas Garrie Edwards Jr., and one daughter, Chella Lynn Edwards; his father, Thome RL Garrie, and mother Mary Collins Poteete; adopted mother Millinea Trousdale Edwards; and two brothers, Jack Collins and Bobby Hames.
He is survived by his adopted father, Paul Robert Edwards, of Hanceville; two daughters, Kimberly Anne Pylant of Decatur and Buffie Fitzgerald of Huntsville; nine sisters, Beth Brock of Hanceville, Peggy Phillips of Hartselle, Faye Campbell of Somerville, Pamela Hestla Fulmer of Hanceville, Patsy Garrie of Albertville, Cathey Roberts of Hanceville, Betty Cassell of Sheffield and Saquanna Dawn Carrillo of Jackson, Wisconsin; two brothers, Ronnie Garrie of Hudson, Florida, and Allen Garrie of Florence; grandchildren Kayla Berryman, Carley Crowley, Charlie Crowley, Cassandra Crowley, Kaylie Marie Edwards, Kerra Nicole Edwards, Kyler James Lanford, Nathan Kyle Pylant, Mary Catherine Pylant, Jodie Alisha Edwards and Bailey Lynn Katz; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephew.
Tommy was born in Russellville in 1948, and he lived throughout the Decatur and Hanceville areas most of his life. His career was with the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers as a welder.
He injured himself during his career, which left him disabled. Tommy survived a heart attack in November 2019.
He was a huge Alabama football fan and watched almost every game on the television as he cheered the Crimson Tide to victory. He collected Alabama Crimson Tide memorabilia, including 100 Crimson Tide ball caps. Tommy was a gun enthusiast and also keen on collecting coins.
Services were held at the Hanceville Funeral Home, 100 Michelle St., Hanceville, July 17 at 2 pm.
Brenda Sapp Welch
Hartselle
Funeral service for Brenda Sapp Welch, 70, was July 19 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frankie Sheats officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Welch passed away July 17 at her residence. She was born Feb. 6, 1950, in Morgan County to Willis Webster Sapp and Opal Evie Angle Sapp. She was employed as a registered nurse for Decatur General
Hospital prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Church of Christ and a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Bobby Alan Welch; and a brother, Tony Sapp.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby J. Welch; one daughter, Tara Sivley; two brothers, Paul Sapp (Sandra) and George Sapp (Sheila); one sister, Vivian Wade (Lloyd); seven grandchildren, Taylor Sivley, Trent Sivley, Tad Sivley, Trevor Hames, Lauren Hames, Leslie Hames and Maddie Hames; and other family, Shelly Hames (Matt).
Pallbearers were Tad Sivley, Trevor Hames, Craig Sapp, Matt Hames, Alan Estep and Corbin Meredith.
Cathryn Barnes Gullion
Decatur
A graveside funeral service and Interment for Cathryn Barnes Gullion, 70, were held July 20 at 4 p.m. at Johnson Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Hazel officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Ms. Gullion died July 16. She was born Oct. 1, 1949, in California to Bobby Ray Barnes and Thelma Lowella Graber Barnes. She was employed as a cook in the restaurant industry prior to her retirement.
She loved cooking, but her passion was baking. She was a very generous, selfless person who was very caring and giving to others. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she loved her sons-in-law very much.
Preceding her in death were her mother; a brother, David Barnes; and two grandchildren, Hanna and Maygan Lacy.
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Newell Murphy, Cary Lacy (Jeremy) and Amy Lacy (Alan); her father, Bobby Ray Barnes; two brothers, James Barnes and Dennis Barnes; two sisters, Sandra Taylor and Vickey Locke; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Dylan Newell, Nikolas Newell, Seth Lacy, Jacob Lacy, Ryan Lacy and Mason Woodall. Honorary pallbearer was Emily Lacy.
Albert Gene Hopper
Hartselle
Graveside funeral service and interment for Albert Gene Hopper, 87, were held July 19 at 10 a.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with Bro. Charles Shaddix officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hopper passed away June 17 at his residence. He was born Aug. 23, 1932, in Morgan County to Huie Doc Hopper and Ethel Lee Higdon Hopper. He was employed by Monsanto as a machinist and worked in
maintenance prior to his retirement.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served in the Korean War. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth Hopper, and his parents.
Survivors include three sons, Timothy Albert Hopper, Stephen Christopher Hopper and Daniel Warren Hopper; and three grandchildren, Heather Hopper Rushen, Kira Hopper Randall and Annie Hopper.
Amanda Cockrell

Funeral service for Amanda Cockrell, 41, of Eva, was July 19 at 4 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Barbee officiating.
Ms. Cockrell died July 17. She was born Jan. 31, 1979, in Nevada to Robert Lee Hatfield Sr. and Barbara Ann Johnson.
Ms. Cockrell was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lee Hatfield Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Micah D. Cockrell (Logan) and Zackery L. Cockrell; one daughter, Julie A. Cockrell (Wade Jahnke); mother, Barbara Johnson; father, Robert Lee Hatfield Sr. (Marie); two brothers, Joey Hatfield (Paula) and Randy Lee Guyse; one sister, Glenda Jo Smith (Monty); one grandchild on the way, Leon Ryker Jahnke; and a host of nieces and nephews.
