The Hartselle Tigers’ football team and the Hartselle Quarterback Club hosted the first Tigers’ Ribeye Throwdown this past weekend at the Sheriff’s Posse Grounds.

Coach Bryan Moore said he was hoping to see the event raise close to $10,000 for the football program. Money collected was still being tabulated as of press deadline.

Three separate steak cook-offs, along with a Tiger Buddies cooking contest and a children’s contest, attracted steak-lovers of all ages.

The Hartselle QB Club thanked Wampler’s Farm Sausage for donating the pork and All Qued Up for donating the special rub for the Tiger Buddies division.
