Police arrest two for theft of Eva welcome signs

Two men are in custody for allegedly stealing the town of Eva’s welcome signs. 

April 14 the town of Eva awoke to missing welcome signs. Morgan County Sheriff’s Office investigators worked quickly and were able to recover both of the stolen signs on the same day.  

The signs were returned to the town. 

Investigators arrested William Lawrence Dudley, 23, of Somerville and Tyler Dean Hammock, 23, of Huntsville for theft of property, first degree. Bond was set at $5,000 for each. 

Both individuals were transported to and booked in the Morgan County Jail. 

Additionally, a felony arrest warrant has been issued for Brandon Ryan Bodkin, 23, of Eva for theft of property, first degree. According to the MCSO, Bodkin is encouraged to turn himself in, and anyone with information about his whereabouts should call 2565606171 or use the TipLink at http://bit.ly/2N3tluo.
