Police arrest Huntsville man for forged checks at Hartselle business

Henry Townsend, 58, of Huntsville was arrested Feb. 24 for criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree.
He was booked in the Morgan County Jail, and his bond was set at $2,500.
The arrest was the result of an investigation concerning numerous forged checks cashed at Hometown Market. Police said it is believed the checks were being fabricated in Madison.
Townsend is one of several suspects that have been identified and arrested in this case.
