Softball

Danville 8, Brewer 6: The Lady Hawks scored five runs in the top of the third inning to propel them to an 8-6 win over Brewer. The game wasn’t without drama as Danville had to hold off the Lady Patriots, who had cut the lead to two in the bottom of the seventh.

Danville (2-0) was led by Madalyn Holladay, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored. Brityan Godfrey added two hits and two RBI while Laney Coker had a hit and two RBI.

Brewer (3-3) was led by Dallas Linderman, who hit a three-run home run. Kim Hillis had two hits and two RBI while Caitlyn Bryson added a hit, an RBI, and a run scored.

Savanna Pelfrey picked up the win for Danville. She allowed two runs on four hits in four innings pitched. Coker pitched three innings in relief and allowed four runs on five hits.

Anneliese Kruger took the loss for the Lady Patriots. She allowed five runs on seven hits in four innings of work. Bronwyn Border pitched three innings in relief of Kruger. She allowed three runs on five hits and struck out seven.

Falkville 6, Holly Pond 1: Sydnee Fitzgerald fired a no-hitter in Falkville’s 6-1 win over Holly Pond.

Fitzgerald pitched four innings, which was a complete game, allowing an unearned run while striking out eight to get the win. She also went 2-for-2 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored.

Maddie Stewart, Brooklyn Owens, and Brooklyn Melson each had an RBI for the Lady Blue Devils (2-0).

Falkville 9, Cold Springs 3: Halie Carroll had a double and two RBI to lead Falkville (3-0) to a 9-3 win over Cold Springs on Thursday afternoon.

Elli Lorance and Makenzie Veal each had two hits, an RBI, and a run scored for the Lady Blue Devils. Owens and Fitsgerald each had an RBI.

Owens picked up the win for Falkville. She allowed three runs on three hits.

Girls Soccer

Priceville 6, Madison County 2: Olivia Duran and Karli Wade each had 2 goals and an assist to lead Priceville (3-0, 1-0) to a 6-2 victory over Madison County. Anna Katherine Hopkins and Anna Swindell each added a goal.

Breana Dugger has 8 saves in goal for the Lady Bulldogs.

Boys Soccer

Madison County 4, Priceville 1: Priceville (1-2) dropped a 4-1 decision to Madison County on Thursday afternoon. Migel Gonzalez scored the Bulldogs goal on an assist from Levi Davis. Tristan Holmes had 12 saves in goal.
