Lady Tigers stumble on the road at Cullman

CULLMAN – In a battle of the top two girls’ teams in Class 6A Area 14, the Hartselle Lady Tigers fell behind early and was unable to catch up in their 55-26 loss to Cullman on Tuesday night.

Cullman jumped out to a 17-3 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.

Lillyanna Cartee had six points in the second quarter for Hartselle, but Cullman was able to extend their lead to 28-12 heading into halftime.

Cullman outscored the Lady Tigers 27-14 in the second half to get the victory.

Hartselle was led by Cartee, who scored seven points and had four rebounds. Maggie McCleskey hit two first-half three-points to finish with six points.

Cullman was led by Anna Katherine Eastman, who scored a game-high 12 points, which all came in the first half. Hanna Hoffman added 11 points.

UP NEXT

Hartselle will host West Point on Thursday night.
