Funeral service for Fay Yancey, 77, was Jan. 23 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Goree officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
Ms. Yancey died Jan. 19 at her residence. She was born Oct. 2, 1942, in Morgan County to Ray Hubbard Champion and Loriean Bracken Champion. She was a master sergeant for the United States National
Guard prior to her retirement.  

Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include one son, Timothy M. Yancey (Rebecca); one daughter, Sherry McLain (James); two brothers, Johnny Champion and Donald Champion; three sisters, Royce Goree, Delores Taylor and Sheena Duggar; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. 

Inez Byrd Holmes
Hillsboro
A graveside funeral service and Interment for Inez Byrd Holmes, 91, were held Jan. 21 at 3 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rayford Milligan officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Holmes died Jan. 19 at her residence. She was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Morgan County to Thomas G. Byrd and Effie Chesteen Byrd. She was a homemaker and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Holmes; two sons, Johnnie Holmes and Franklin L. Holmes; her parents; three brothers, Paul, Troy and Rural Byrd; and two sisters, Willie and Ruth.
Survivors include a daughter, Delmar Gay (J.D.); two sons, Don W. Holmes (Ann) and Marlin L. Holmes (Elaine); one brother, Frank Byrd; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeremy Holmes, Brayden Holmes, Larry Gay, William Bishop, Zack Way and Steve Knickerbocker. 

Randy Sherril Lott

Randy Sherril Lott, 35, died Jan. 13 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1984, in Marshall County to Danny Sherril Lott and Betty Entrekin Lott. He was a packer for Wayne Poultry Farms.
The family held a graveside service at 2 p.m. Jan. 23 at Rock Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Crawford officiated.
Survivors include parents Danny and Betty Entrekin Lott and two brothers, David Lott and Alton Lott (April). 

Lambert

Alma Jean Childers Lambert

Funeral service for Alma Jean Childers Lambert, 92, was Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Robinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery.  

Mrs. Lambert died Jan. 21 at River City Center. She was born Sept. 19, 1927, in Morgan County to Jessie Sisk and Buela Mae Mattney Sisk. She was a member of the Eva Baptist Church and was employed by the Lurleen B. Wallace Center in the custodial department prior to her retirement.  

Preceding her in death were two husbands, Isaac Vernon Childers and second husband David L. Lambert; her parents; two brothers, Kay Sisk and Calvin Sisk; two sisters, Shirley Sisk Waddell and Wynell Taylor Wilson; and a cousin, Jean Moore.  

Survivors include one son, Dwight Childers (Judy); two grandchildren, Mary Ann Henderson (Don) and Michael Dwight Childers (Karen); and four great-grandchildren, Ellie Childers, Kalen Childers, Perry Henderson and Jillian Henderson. 

Bobbie Dean Clark

Funeral service for Bobbie Dean Clark, 87, was Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Wiggins officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Roselawn.
Mrs. Clark died Jan. 23 at her residence. She was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Winston County to Rosvelt Hunter and Samath Bates Hunter. She was a homemaker and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Clark; her parents; and a son, James Hudson.
Survivors include one son, Roger Hudson (Donna); one daughter, Annette Rucker (Rick); a daughter-in-law, Pat Hudson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers were Michael Hudson, Terrance Hudson, Kenny Hastings, Payton Moxley, Noah Holladay and Rick Rucker.
 

Elizabeth Jean Styers Case
Decatur
Funeral service for Elizabeth Jean Styers Case, 68, was Jan. 27 at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Little as the officiant.  Burial was in Midway Memorial Gardens. 
Mrs. Case died Jan. 23 at Decatur Morgan Hospital.
She was born Aug. 18, 1951, in Memphis, Tenn., to David Allen Styers and Patricia Ann Wiles Styers. She was employed, working in production control, with International Paper and Champion Paper Mill for 32 years prior to her retirement.  

The “apple of her eye” was her grandson, Tyler. She enjoyed crocheting and doing crafts.  

Preceding her in death were her husband, Ronald Case, and her parents.
Her family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Decatur Morgan Hospital and D.C.I. in Decatur for their wonderful, compassionate care.
Survivors include one son, Nick Case (Angela), Decatur; one brother, David Styers (Kathy), Decatur; three sisters, Carylon Mansfield, Memphis, Denise Coleman, Memphis, and Meichelle Gregory, Memphis; and one grandchild, Tyler Case.
Pallbearers were Shane Davis, Kevin Coffee, Buster Shelton, Trent Howell, Ron Bonnell and Gordon Byrd.
 

Locke

Geraldine Locke 

Hartselle
  Geraldine Legg Locke of Hartselle passed away peacefully Jan 24. She was born May 30, 1940, to Talmadge and Buford Hendrix Legg. She was married to Donald Locke, and they had recently celebrated their 61st year of “happily ever after” together.  

She was an avid genealogist, painter and caretaker and devoted her life to Christ. Her last speech was at the memorial for the fallen heroes of the Vietnam War this past December.  

Together, she and Donald discovered the beauty of North America many times over in their motorhome. 

She was a builder, a thinker and a person predestined to change many things – physically, spiritually and educationally.
  She is survived by her husband, Donald Locke; daughter Jannette Behnke (Joe); granddaughter Melinda Collier (Phillip); step-grandsons Joe Behnke Jr. (Kari) and Brian Behnke (Angela); three great–grandchildren, Anniston, Ridge and Tripp Collier; two step-great–grandchildren, Colin and Donovan Behnke; brothers Donald, Frank (Rosa) and Jim (Sue) Legg; sister Maedrue Driver (Charles); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Carl and Billy Gene Legg.
Funeral services will be Jan. 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel with interment at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church.
