Hartselle High hosts beauty pageant, baseball camp 

The Hartselle High athletic department will hit the ground running in 2020, with the baseball team hosting a day camp Jan. 20 and the track and field team hosting the Miss Southern Hospitality Pageant Feb. 15. 

The baseball camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hartselle’s indoor practice facility. The cost is $80, and lunch is provided.  

The Miss Southern Hospitality Pageant will take place at the Hartselle High School auditorium and is open to contestants from newborns to high school seniors.  

Separate pageants will begin at 10 a.m. for newborn through sixth grade and 4 p.m. for seventh grade through 12th grade. Registration will open at 8 a.m. for the morning pageant and 2 p.m. for the afternoon pageant. 

Contestants will be put in divisions based on age. Side events will include best model, best dressed, prettiest eyes, prettiest hair, prettiest smile and most photogenic.  

The cost to register is $60 if paid in advance and $75 the day of the pageant.
