Emily Hill and Tyler Teague March 23, 2019

How They Met

Even though they grew up less than a mile apart, Emily Hill and Tyler Teague met in Starkville when a mutual friend invited Tyler and his brother to the Auburn University versus Mississippi State University game in 2012. After the game, the two began texting and talking regularly. A month later, and they were a couple!

The Proposal

Six years later, after graduating college and starting new careers, they returned to Starkville for the 2018 Auburn/MSU matchup. Before the game, Tyler led Emily to the Chapel of Memories, a lovely brick chapel complete with stained glass windows and a fountain, where he popped the question. The setting was perfect and heartfelt. Tyler couldn’t have planned more personal and romantic moment.

Favorite Details

The ceremony was the best memory for the bride and groom. Felicity, a string ensemble from Huntsville, provided classical and contemporary music that set a beautiful tone for the afternoon. Dr. Blake Kersey officiated the ceremony and truly captured the essence of who Emily and Tyler are as individuals and together. He incorporated their love, appreciation and personalities within the ceremony in the sweetest of ways. It made for a wonderfully personal and moving ceremony for the couple and all in attendance.
