2019 Hartselle Enquirer’s All-Area football team

Player of the Year: Jerry Burton, 5-10, 175, Priceville, Jr: The two-year starter led the Bulldogs to the second round of the 4A state playoffs with 2,510 yards rushing and 33 touchdowns. He finished the season with eight games of 200 or more yards rushing. He was named to the 2019 4A All-State 1st Team as well as being named the 4A Region 7 Player of the year. He has 3,795 yards rushing in his two years as a starting running back for the Bulldogs.

Coach of the Year: Chris Foster, Priceville: First-year head coach for the Bulldogs. He was hired in July to take over a two-win team from 2018. He led Priceville to eight wins (tied a school record), advanced to the second round of the playoffs for the first time following their first playoff win.

RB: Brinten Barclay, 6-0, 190, Hartselle, Sr: 1,039 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns

RB: Jonathan Morgan, 5-10, 175, Brewer, Sr: 860 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns

RB: Cameron Moore, 6-0, 190, Danville, Jr: 915 yards rushing, 235 yards receiving and 13 total touchdowns

WR: Mikel Philyaw, 5-10, 170, Falkville, Jr: 48 receptions, 721 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns – 1A All-State Selection-2nd Team

OL: Michael McNutt, 6-7, 330, Priceville, Sr: 72 pancake blocks, graded out 92 percent – 4A All-State Selection-1st Team

OL: Travis Ricks, 6-3, 290, Falkville, Sr: 33 pancake blocks, graded out at 91 percent – 1A All-State Selection-Honorable Mention

OL: Tyler Cappi, 6-2, 275, Priceville, So: 68 pancake blocks, graded out at 90 percent – 4A All-State Selection-2nd Team

OL: Zane Stinson, 6-2, 270, Hartselle Sr: Anchored an offensive line that helped the Tigers score over 27 points a game

OL: Brody Lacey, 6-0, 250, Falkville, Sr: 25 pancake blocks, graded out at 89 percent

ATH: Christian Angulo, 5-11, 200, Falkville, Jr: 1,300 yards rushing, 181 yards receiving, 121 yards passing, 21 total touchdowns – 1A All-State Selection-2nd Team

ATH: Jaxon Cross, Priceville, Sr: 823 yards rushing, 196 yards receiving, 8 total touchdowns

ATH: Cal George, Hartselle, Jr: 1,277 yards passing, 571 yards rushing, and 21 total touchdowns
