Priceville’s Jenna Walker passes 1,000-point mark in win over Danville 

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs overcame a slow start in their 78-32 victory over Danville Tuesday night.  

The Lady Bulldogs led 13-8 after the first but outscored the Lady Hawks 52-14 over the next two quarters to pull away for the victory. 

I’m very proud of the girls. The whole team played well and contributed,” said Priceville Coach Terri Nelson. “It was good to get the win on the road and for everyone on the team to get good minutes. 

Priceville (4-4, 1-0) was led by Jenna Walker, who scored a game-high 23 points and seven assists. She has now scored 1,021 points in her Priceville career. 

“Tonight was very special because Jenna went over the 1,000-point mark for her career,” said Nelson. I am very proud of her accomplishment, especially being a point guard who has always been a passfirst player. 

Zoey Benson added 14 points and six rebounds, while Lannah Johnson had 10 points for the Lady Bulldogs. 

Lauren Hames scored eight points to lead Danville (5-5, 0-1), while Emma Broadfoot added seven. 

Priceville 59, St. John Paul II 24: The Priceville girls jumped out to a big first quarter lead, 22-3, and cruised to an easy 59-24 win over St. John Paul II. 

The Lady Bulldogs defense held the Lady Falcons to single digits in each of the four quarters and came up with 11 steals in the victory. 

Priceville (5-4, 2-0) was led by Walker, who finished with 14 points and five assists, while Zoey Benson added 14 points and six rebounds. Olivia Gann, Lannah Johnson and Brianna Marquette each finished with six points. 

St. John Paul II (5-5, 1-1) was led by Jordan Jefferies, who scored eight points. 

Danville 59, Priceville 41: The Hawks jumped out to a 13-7 lead and then extended it to 29-14 at the half and coasted to a 59-41 victory over Priceville. 

Danville (6-2, 1-0) was led by Wren Cole, who had 19 points and five reboundsKJ Melson added 15 points, while Kohl Randolph added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Hawks. 

Priceville (2-6, 0-1) was led by Seth Hood, who finished with 11 points, while Dylan Fry added nine. Chris Thomas had eight points and eight rebounds while Tray Summer had eight points and six rebounds for the Bulldogs. 

St. John Paul II 56, Priceville 46: The visiting Falcons outscored Priceville 7-2 in the final minutes of the second quarter to take 27-22 lead at halftime. They extended the lead to 42-31 following the third and held on for the 56-46 win. 

Priceville (2-7, 0-2) was led by Cole Lindeman, who finished with 12 points from four three-pointers, while Trey Summers had nine points and nine rebounds. 

St. John Paull II (4-2, 2-0) was led by Nick Bonifay, who scored a game-high 17 points, while Josh Price added 12 and Thomas Howard had 11.
