Hartselle’s ninth annual Veterans Day Parade, hosted by the City of Hartselle and the Hartselle Lions Club, will be held Nov. 9 in Hartselle’s downtown district. Admission is free, and the event is open to the public.
Lee Greene Jr. of the Lions Club said Hartselle will start things off by featuring a guest speaker, Lt. Colonel Toi Stubbs, in front of the historic train depot located on Railroad Street, beginning at 10 a.m.
At 11 a.m. the parade will begin, featuring and honoring local veterans who have served their country at home and overseas. Other participants will include the Hartselle and Falkville high school marching bands, the Hartselle Civil Air Patrol, American Legion, the Boy and Girl Scouts of America and various classic automobiles and military jeeps.
