Morgan County Environmental to hold fall clean-up days

Morgan County Environmental Services will hold fall clean-up days for Morgan County residents. 

The clean-up days are free for residential Morgan County sanitation customers and will allow residents to dispose of household items. 

Clean-up days will take place from Sept. 30 through Oct. 12 at two different locations. The District 4 Shop at 423 Union Hill Road will accept items from Sept. 30 through Oct. 3, plus Oct. 5. The shop will be open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7-11 a.m. 

The Decatur/Morgan County Landfill at 500 Landfill Drive in Trinity will take items Sept. 30 through Oct. 12. Items can be dropped off from 6 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. 

Items for disposal can also be taken to Morgan County Environmental Services at 1316 Industrial Drive SE in Hartselle. Items can be dropped off Oct. 7-10 and Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7-11 a.m. Saturday. 

Accepted items include household items such as furniture and appliances. 

All participants must bring proof of county residence and mention the fall clean-up program. Call 256-773-3887 for additional information.
