The Town of Falkville will host a trick or treat event at the Town Hall Oct. 31 from 5-7 p.m.
According to Mayor Ken Winkles, the Falkville Fire department has committed to donate $300 to the event.
“A lot of the staff will be dressing up for the event and the girls in the office are doing a CandyLand theme this year,” Winkles said. “ The utilities are doing farmer costumes with tractors and a circus theme with the ringmaster. The fire truck will also be there.”
Police Chief Chris Free said donations given by the community were used to buy candy and provide a safe place for families to bring their kids and trick or treat.
Falkville SRO Seth Sullivan said the officers were all dressing up on their own- He will be Prince Charming and his girlfriend, Jacy, will be Cinderella. Another officer and his wife will be the princess and the frog.
The community is encouraged to come by dressed in costume and enjoy candy and fellowship.
