Funeral service for Jackie Ray Thomas, 63, of Hartselle, was Feb. 12 at Peck Funeral Home. Burial was at Brown Cemetery in New Hope. Mr. Thomas died Feb. 9, 2018. He was born April 24, 1954, in Blount County to Clinton Jackson Thomas and Jewel Smith Thomas.

Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his wife Melba Lou Thomas; six sons, Shannon Ray Thomas, Jackie Scott Thomas (Mindy), Michael David Edge (Cathy), Christopher Shane Lewter (Kourtney), Joseph Bramlett (Lindsey) and Johnathon Cody Thomas; four daughters, Lisa Reneau (Rick), Shenia Sadler, Candie Sisk (Jason) and Christie Dawn Long (Curtis Goodwin); two brothers, Larry Thomas and Alan Thomas; three sisters, Barbara Young, Joyce Sterling (Phillip) and Linda Thomas; 26 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Shannon Ray Thomas, Jackie Scott Thomas, Christopher Shane Lewter, Joseph Bramlett, Johnathon Cody Thomas, Tristan Thomas, Alex Lewter and Mikell Philyaw.
