Funeral service for Glenn Johnson, 70, was Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Tony Johnson, his son, officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Johnson died Feb. 22 at his residence. He was born Oct. 4, 1947, in Cullman County to William Dale Johnson and Melodean Holmes Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a beloved father and grandfather, who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 57 and went to be with his Lord at the age of 70.

He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber as a section coordinator prior to his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include four sons, Jeffery Glenn Johnson (Kathy), Tony Lynn Johnson (Melissa), William Greg Johnson (Jennifer) and Joshua Dell Johnson (Canina); three brothers, Jerry Dell Johnson, Earl Daniel Johnson and Kenneth Dewayne Johnson; two sisters, Norma Jean Jennings and Brenda Faye Davis; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in support of Mr. Johnson’s great-grandson, Kainen Phelps.
