Graveside funeral service and interment for Clifford G. Martens, 80, was Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Memory Gardens with Bro. Mickey Johnson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Martens died Feb. 13 at Huntsville Hospital. He was born May 20, 1937, in Kansas to George A. Martens and Maurine L. Stubby Martens. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and attended the First Christian Church of Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Marie Martens, father George Martens, mother Maurine Stubby Martens and three brothers, Kenneth L., Richard and Milford Martens.

Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Martens, Addison; two daughters, Jenny Free (Ronald), Falkville, and Janet Porter (Danny), Prairie Grove, Ark.; and four grandchildren, Ryan Free, Jessica Free, Christopher Martens and Elizabeth Martens.

Pallbearers were Chris Martens, Ryan Free and the elders and deacons of First Christian Church of Decatur.
