Funeral service for Scott Lybarger, 52, of Hartselle was Nov. 27 at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe McKaig, the Rev. Richie Thompson, the Rev. Danny Holmes and the Rev. Doug Ripley officiating with burial in Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Peck Funeral Home directed.

Mr. Lybarger was born April 10, 1965, in Jackson County, Mo., to Jerry Clinton Lybarger and Karen Kay Buzard Lybarger. He passed away Nov. 24 at Decatur-Morgan Hospital. He was a member of Decatur Baptist Church for 26 years, where he worked with the Children’s Church. He was preceded in death by grandparents James Clinton Lybarger and Aileen Lybarger and Frank and Vera Buzard.

He was formerly a regional manager for Lampton Love Propane. He is presently a senior consultant risk engineer for Crum and Forester Company.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Survivors include his wife Tanya Lybarger, son Kyle (Anna) Lybarger, daughter Taylor Lybarger, parents Jerry and Kay Lybarger, brother Dave (Debbie) Lybarger, sister Kari (Shane) Eddy and granddaughter Ellie Houser.
