Police arrest three men on drug charges

Three men were arrested following a traffic stop in Decatur on Thanksgiving Day after officers located a stolen AK-47 and drugs in the vehicle.

Decatur Police Department officers conducted the stop, and the occupants were identified as Kyrus Clay, Quenton Clay and Daquan Langford.

During the vehicle stop, officers said Kyrus Clay was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana, a stolen AK-47 and a pistol.

The three suspects were booked into Morgan County Jail shortly thereafter.

While Langford was being processed into the jail, officers said he was found to be in possession methamphetamine, marijuana and a digital scale.

Langford was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana in the first degree and second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia and held without bond at the request of circuit judge Jennifer Howell. Langford was out of jail on pre-trial for allegedly shooting into an occupied dwelling.

Kyrus Clay was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree ($500 bond); carrying a pistol without a permit ($500); receiving stolen property in the fourth degree ($500); and failure to signal ($500).

Quenton Clay was charged with possession of marijuana in the second degree ($500 bond).

Officers discovered marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia located in a vehicle pulled over during a holiday traffic stop.
A stolen AK-47 and a pistol were also discovered during the traffic stop.
