Alenda Foote Sims – Nov. 1, 2017

Graveside funeral service and interment for Alenda Foote Sims, 74, will be Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. at Herring Cemetery with Bro. Ralph Henderson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.


Mrs. Sims died Nov. 1 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Morgan County to Homer Foote and Geneva Goad Foote. She was retired from her service at Kanteen Vending Company as an
office employee and was a member of Tunsel Road Baptist Church. She loved going to auctions.


She was preceded in death by her husband, David Sims, her parents and a son, Timmy Sims.
Survivors include one son, Bryan Sims (Renay), Hartselle; one daughter, Betty Lynn Sims Hayes, Falkville; two brothers, Richard Foote (Sharon) and Jerry Foote (Sue); three sisters, Helen Johnson,
Debbie Miller and Francis Shaneyfelt; three grandchildren, Keith May (Amanda), Shelby Goode (Dakota) and Shea Sims; and four great-grandchildren, Autumn May, Devan May, Stetson Goode and Paizlee Goode.
