Funeral service for Peggie J. Johnson, 83, was Oct. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Leon Holt and Bro. Mackie Suits officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Lawrence Cove Cemetery. Visitation was Oct. 20 from

12:30-1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. Johnson passed away Oct. 18 at Huntsville Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1934, in Lawrenceburg County to Edgar Corbin Adkins and Carmen Pauline Randall Adkins. She was a factory worker employed by Golden Rod prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Little Gethsemane House of Prayer. Preceding her in death were her husband Bobby Johnson, a daughter Annie Woodall, a son Doyle Drinkard and her parents.

Survivors include five sons, Royland Drinkard, Jimmy Drinkard, Danny Drinkard, Franklin Drinkard and Alston Drinkard; six daughters: Betty West, Edith Wordard, Inez Hall, Reba Lamb, Anita Shaw and Virginia Simpson; two brothers, Paul Adkins and

James Adkins; one sister, Charlene Ward; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend Billy Gobble.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Talley, Bradly West, Nick Simpson, Nate Drinkard, Phillip Vincent and Jim Drinkard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeffery Harris and Joshua Drinkard.
