Carol Ann Drumm Atkinson – Oct. 19, 2017

Beloved mother, grandmother and wife Carol Drumm Atkinson, 78, went to heaven Oct. 19 surrounded by her family.

She was born in Muskengdon County, Ohio, to Russell Earl Drumm and Edith Morgan Drumm, who preceded her in death. She worked at Jordan Fabric in Huntsville for several years and later retired from Cook’s Pest Control after 27 years of service. She was a member of the New Life Church in Falkville.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Don Atkinson, Hartselle; two daughters, Mindy Collier (Roger), Enterprise, and Renee Landers (Orvil), Priceville; three grandchildren, Morgan Collier, Leslie Long (Hugh) and Haley Cottingham (Derek); one great-grandchild, Finnegan Long; special cousin, Sue Jones; three step-grandchildren, Ashley David, Stacie Vernon and John Collier; and step-great-grandchildren, Brittany Lopez, Collier Lunsford, Fenn David, Harrison Lunsford, Gwendolyn
Lunsford and Fox David.
Pallbearers will be Craig Hardin, Tony Johnson, Hugh Long, Derek Cottingham and John Collier.
Funeral service was held Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. at New Life Church with Bro. Phillip Hardin and Bro. Don Atkinson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial was in Jones Cemetery. Visitation was Oct. 22 from 2-4 p.m. at New Life Church.
Her family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice of the Valley for their care and professionalism.
